This solution contains components such as potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide, and distilled water. Technical standards allow for the presence of a small amount of sediment. The density level of the substance in storage batteries largely depends on its temperature. For example, if the electrolyte temperature is very low (approximately -30 degrees Celsius), its density should be 1.26-1.28 g/cm3. Since it is a caustic liquid, strict safety rules must be followed when working with it. Contact of the substance with exposed skin areas can lead to irritation and burns. In terms of danger to humans, this substance belongs to the second hazard class. Nevertheless, it is completely unaffected by fire and is therefore a fire-safe substance. Potassium-lithium alkaline electrolyte is most often used in the mining and automotive industries. Batteries installed on various forklifts and other mining machines are common. The same applies to standard vehicles. Containers with the liquid (barrels or polyethylene canisters) should be stored indoors, without access by unauthorized persons. Electrolytes and demineralized water

Electrolytes are melts or solutions that can conduct electric current; acid electrolytes and potassium-lithium alkaline electrolytes are used for batteries. There are high-molecular-weight, low-molecular-weight, and colloidal electrolytes. High-molecular-weight electrolytes include nucleic acids, proteins, and biopolymers. Colloidal electrolytes include tannins, soaps, and some types of dyes.
