Sobriety test tubes

When interacting with alcohol vapors, the reagent becomes light or bright green, or blue-green. The intensity of the color depends on the amount of alcohol. This method is called the Mokhov-Shinkarenko method.

Before use, both ends of the tube should be broken off, for which there is a special tool - a breaker, located in the pencil case body. Air is exhaled through a mouthpiece attached to the end of the tube farthest from the reagent layer. At the opposite end, a respiratory balloon is placed, which is necessary to control the subject's breathing. The breathalyzer balloon is a polyethylene bag.

Sobriety control is carried out using a kit consisting of several parts. The plastic pencil case contains: instructions, a breaker, a film balloon, 10 mouthpieces, and 10 indicator tubes.
