Control indicators

Steam sterilization indicators are used for rapid visual inspection of compliance with critical parameters that must be observed during steam sterilization.

These criteria include: temperature, exposure time, and steam saturation. These parameters must be maintained inside the sterilized product and the sterile packaging containing the product during the procedure in a steam sterilizer, with mandatory air removal from the chamber using the steam purge method.

Air sterilization indicators operate in three modes: 200°C/30 min, 180°C/60 min, 160°C/150 min. These are single-use chemical integrating indicators with an adhesive layer on the back, covered by a protective layer, and used for operational visual monitoring of compliance with critical criteria required for air sterilization. These include: temperature and sterilization exposure time, which must be maintained inside the product packaging.

Storage conditions for the control indicator

The indicator must be stored in its packaging; the air temperature in the storage location ranges from minus 50 to plus 40 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 60%.

Shelf life of the indicator

The product shelf life is 2 years.
